Bombastis Nocturnis
So this guy goes to court because he was trying to buy drugs. He tells the judge that his meds aren’t working and that is why he did it. She orders that the matter be looked in to, and reschedules a hearing for the following week. In the meantime the guy duct tapes himself, goes to a church and asks if he can eat people because he is a hungry vampire, and then runs to the courthouse with a fake pipe bomb duct taped to his arm. The vampire is eventually taken down in front of a grocery, where the grocer Mr. Hwang thought for sure he was going to die. The judge was shocked to hear about all of this. I didn’t just make all that up.. it really happened in Seattle.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that is usually found during the winter, and appears to be exacerbated by the time shift associated with daylight savings. They say that people usually are better off mentally when they wake up to more light. So “falling back” in time means that a 6:30 sunrise now happens at 5:30.. did I say that right? So, people who suffer from SAD get “sadder” when time “springs forward” because a 6:30 sunrise would not happen until 7:30. Makes sense, I suppose – I hate waking up in the dark.
